We explore the beautiful and dramatic scenery of the Yorkshire Dales today as we travel firstly to Pateley Bridge – an idyllic market town that stretches up the hillside. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town boasts historic buildings, delicious local produce and a history that stretches back for centuries.

Our day continues as we make our way to Grassington where the bustling market square is fringed with thriving, independent shops. Art galleries, craft studios and friendly cafés set against the beautiful backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales make this small market town feel like a village – and, of course, this is the home of the fictional 'Darrowby' in the newest series of All Creatures Great and Small.

We round the day off with a visit to Skipton, affectionately known as the 'Gateway to the Dales', where there are pretty alleyways and ginnels to be explored as well as canal side walks to be enjoyed.

We just come back from our 5 days Signature holiday to Harrogate and we stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa. Our over all experience with this holiday was great. All the staff in the hotel have been very friendly and accommodating especially the staff in the dining room and the bar. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The excursions were just right and we had plenty to see, the weather wasn’t great on our second day, but nevertheless we just made the most of it. Gary our driver was great and made the timings simple to understand. This was our third holiday with Leger/Shearings and we have just booked another one in September. Looking forward to another Signature holiday with Shearings.
