Local departure by coach, then on to Newquay and our hotel for four nights. Tea, Coffee or Mulled Wine on arrival with a mince pie will be waiting for you to get you into the festive spirit
This morning we visit the charming fishing village of Padstow. Explore Cornwall’s capital of seafood cuisine with its bustling harbour and great selection of cafés and restaurants, gift and craft shops – it’s easy to see why celebrity chef Rick Stein loves Padstow so much! Pick up a few Christmas gifts in the quaint independent shops. Perfect to do a little festive shopping or to simply enjoy the coastal views! We return back to the hotel in time for dinner and evening entertainment.
Relax in Newquay or join our optional excursion to the historic town of Truro. Admire the neo-Gothic architecture and the three spires of the cathedral, or take a pleasant stroll along the pretty river. Explore the vibrant, local independent shops as well as the markets traders and browse the Cornish produce. We return to the hotel with plenty of time to get ready for "Christmas Dinner" followed by evening entertainment.

This morning we drive over imposing Bodmin Moor which is steeped in history with countless ancient monuments and has gained notoriety with tales of the "Beast of Bodmin" that is supposed to roam the hills, The highlight of today will be the stop at the Bodmin Jail attraction with ticket price included. Built in 1779 the jail is a landmark site and now guides visitors to explore not only Cornwall's historic past but also the dark fascinating legacy of the famous jail. The attraction is fully accessible and has a café and interesting gift shop. We return to the hotel with plenty of time to get ready for the "New Years Eve Gala" evening.
We depart the hotel this morning full of festive cheer and return home.
