Today we visit tranquil Buckfast Abbey, nestled in a beautiful valley on the banks of the River Dart, before we take to the tracks of the South Devon Railway. Step back in time to a bygone era on this scenic steam train experience. Travelling the 7 mile stretch of the former Great Western Railway line, built in 1872, you will enjoy breathtaking scenery of the River Dart valley.
Later in the day, we visit Totnes, a fascinating historic town which combines stunning countryside with independent shopping and fantastic local food and drink.
We return back to the hotel to enjoy dinner and then take your seats in the starlight lounge ready for a fantastic evening of entertainment.

Spend a leisurely day today exploring Torquay further or join us on our optional excursion to the historic city of Exeter, where the skyline is dominated by the unique Norman twin towers of the majestic cathedral. There is much to discover along the bustling quayside.
We return back to the hotel to give you time to enjoy the facilities. Why not indulge in some relaxation time at the Aztec Spa with swimming pool, sauna steam and Jacuzzi? This evening, we enjoy a meal and entertainment in the hotel.

Today we enjoy more highlights of South Devon. Our first stop is the regency town of Sidmouth. Located on the Jurassic Coast, the coastline is dominated by the red sandstone cliffs. Take a stroll along the Millenium Walkway which stretches the length of the beach before enjoying the range of shops and cafes.
Our next stop is a visit to the World of Country Life, one of Devon's top attractions for all ages. Take a trip down 'Memory Lane', a typical Victorian Street, or visit the Steam Engine Shed with a collection of vintage tractors and steam engines. One of the highlights is the famous Deer Train Safari which gives you the opportunity to feed red deer and llama in the park – so get your cameras ready!
Our final stop of the day is in Exmouth, where the River Ex meets the sea. This charming Victorian seaside resort has a harbour and bustling town centre to explore.
